Our new Chairman Barry now has two successful meetings under his belt, and we welcome Paul Strudwick as our New Treasurer. Paul succeeds the capable Dorothy Britton.Our thanks and appreciation Dorothy for your efforts and contributions over the years.
Season’s Greetings – A Christmas Tree Display
This Year’s Christmas Tree displays in the St Mary Magdalene Church in Newark town center are well worth the visit, especially to see our own tree so capably assembled by Margi. 
Once again the Church has opened it’s facilities to all charities and organisations both business and pleasure,and a wander around will add to the Christmas spirit.
Our own display centers around our activity this year, which has been the complete refurbishment of the hull, also referred to as “the bottom”. This is also a big thank you to all the persons involved and of course our kind benefactors who have made this all possible to date. Our compliments of the season and best wishes for 2015, we look forward to a successful New Year with your continued support and a return to the water and our other “normal” activities!

At the well attended AGM held on 1st November 2014 we bid a sad farewell to Hester who has so capably led us as Chairman for the last three years. Hester’s commitment, dedication and motivation was acknowledged in the achievements we have made whilst Hester has been at the helm by project chairman Les Reid and all members of the Committee and Trustees. We welcome new Chairman Barry Thomson and look forward to a successful and happy association going forward. Herein a few photo momentos of Hester.

Cancellation of Open Day 3rd August 2014
We regret the late notification that our open day planned for Sunday, 3rd August 2014 has had to be cancelled through unforseen delays in completion of repairs to the Leicester Trader’s hull. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, and we will advise once the Leicester Trader is returned to the water and her berth as to when the open days will resume

12 months of research concluded on 26th April 2014 at North Muskham Rural Community Centre with an afternoon of talks and discussion to consider how best to make the results available – talks by those who have undertaken the work, Philip Riden, Hywel Maslen and Wendy Freer – and discussion on material to be included in a book on the Trent in this period. It’s That Time of Year Again!
Our AGM is due to be held on the 7th November 2013, with lunch followed by the third Traffic and Trade on the Trent Workshop. The venue for all of these activities is the barge, now fitted with a new stove for a more efficient heating service. Our thanks as ever to Les for his hard work in achieving this. Please join us, the notice is appended below as a reminder! Please also let Hester know for catering numbers in the event you would like lunch on the day – a lovely opportunity for us to have a good old get together
