Held over the weekend 8th-9th November 2015 this event was a real eye-opener as to not only the disgraceful abuse of the waterway by dumping of waste materials such as bicycles and shopping trolleys, but more importantly of how the lock works and serves the water borne traffic of today. This was a real opportunity to get down to base level to see the work being done and to appreciate how much is involved in maintaining a lock. A big thanks to The Canal and River Trust and our heartiest congratulations on the success of the open days.
